Beyond IoT

From September 23 to 24, we were in Cologne at Beyond IoT, a leading conference for IIoT and digitalization. Beyond IoT brings together experts and companies to discuss the latest trends and technologies in the field of the Industrial Internet of Things.

As part of the lecture program, Dominik, our CEO and co-founder, gave a presentation on “Implementing IIoT applications faster with open source and Apache StreamPipes.” His presentation focused on how Apache StreamPipes, as an open-source platform, helps companies integrate and process data from various sources to gain valuable insights and make informed decisions. In addition to an introduction, the presentation also included a comprehensive demo of the open-source solution.

Outside of the presentation program, we had the opportunity to exchange ideas with other experts and companies and make new contacts. The conference covered a wide range of topics, from edge computing and 5G to AI and machine learning.

The growing interest in solutions at the interface between IIoT and AI was also particularly exciting to see. The combination of IIoT data and AI technologies offers enormous potential, which was made tangible at Beyond IoT – whether through easier access for non-technical users, intelligent automation, or chat-based assistance systems.

In addition to the technical presentations, other topics relevant to the industry were also discussed at the conference, in particular the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the associated challenges and opportunities for companies.

Overall, Beyond IoT is always a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field of the Industrial Internet of Things and to make valuable contacts.
